Impact Duration: 04:15 AM – 05:15 AM EDT

Affected Services: Toronto Data Center Network Connectivity

Root Cause: Scheduled maintenance by upstream provider

###Incident Summary:

On September 12, 2025, between 04:15 AM – 5:15 AM EDT, users in several regions experienced loss of network connectivity to our Toronto Data Center. This was due to maintenance activities performed by one of our upstream providers in another region, which had an unexpected impact to connectivity to our Toronto Data Center Network. The maintenance impacted routing stability, resulting in degraded performance and temporary loss of access to certain services.

###Resolution:
Connectivity was restored once the upstream provider completed their maintenance window. Our network monitoring systems confirmed full service restoration by 05:15 AM EDT.

No further issues have been observed since.

###Next Steps:
We are working closely with our upstream partners to improve visibility into scheduled maintenance activities and minimize future disruptions. Additional routing redundancies are also being evaluated to enhance resilience.

--- UPDATE 04:39AM EST ---

At 10:52PM EST we received alerts from our monitoring systems of a network issue affecting our Miami facility. NOC engineers began investigating the issue and determined there is a routing issue originating from outside of Supreme Servers network.

The provider has identified this issue and is working to resolve as soon as possible.

Supreme Servers had implemented temporary fixes to help alleviate the intermittent packet loss, but we were awaiting final fixes being implemented by the provider to resolve the issue.

The fixes have been pushed to core routers and connectivity has been re-established.

======== UPDATE 12:47 EST ========

The upstream provider has provided information that there was a communication issue between two core routers. To resolve, the provider reset the affected routers and connectivity was re-established.

In light of recent monitoring, our NOC has identified severe capacity issues and sub-optimal routing paths. This is caused from misconfiguration of the edge devices.

To resolve this, the NOC will be moving each edge pair into their own OSPF area. Customers may see traffic flap until the adjacent routes are rebuilt, which should take less than 2 minutes.

Customers who have the VPS mirroring add-on will not be affected.

Hello,

Scheduled Reboot Time: 10/10/2016 03:00AM EST

After further investigation of our Dallas node which was having issues, we have determined that a kernel upgrade will help with the kernel panic that the node was experiencing.

As this needs to be applied as soon as possible, we will proceed with rebooting the node Monday, October 10th, 2016 at 03:00 AM EST.

We appreciate your patience with this issue and apologize for any interruption.

Customers who have the VPS mirroring add-on will not be affected.

Kind Regards,
